Rating: G
Team: Avalanche
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: I might not remember what prompted the, er, prompt, but what they hey. Time to bring out some fancharas!

"I don't know who's worse," Freya declared, plunking the bulge of her bag down onto the table as she sat. "The ones that lost their forms the minute they hit the PHS, or the ones that fill in every single box the wrong way."

Her friends nodded sympathetically mid-chew; it was even money which department was worse, and luckily for them, the admin staff all had lunch around the same time and could circulate the best complaints between themselves. At the far end of the table, the newest temp blinked wide eyes and wondered just what she'd gotten herself into.

More beneath the cut. )

Title: Sharing (Nicely)
Characters/Pairings: OCs
Team: AVALANCHE
Rating: Gen
Word Count: 100
Series: Core Game

It wasn't as though they were alone. Not really alone-alone. As soon as they were old enough to walk they had tumbled about Edge and found each other, joy and recognition sparking the moment they laid eyes on each other (green blue hazel green green). But Roddy (green) was the only one to have a Mama when he was awake, which made the rest of them kind of curious.

Lily, though, Lily had a Papa. She'd found him all by herself, after the confusing green-and-metal world she'd woken up in went away. She considered carefully; maybe they could share.

Title: Lucky
Characters/Pairings: OCs, Aeris
Team: AVALANCHE
Rating: Gen
Word Count: 100
Series: Core Game

Roddy's Mamas were the prettiest ladies in the world. He knew it like he knew the earth under his feet, steady and sure - Roddy's Mamas were the prettiest and nicest Mamas ever, and he didn't want or need a Papa like some of the other kids had. He had everything he could want already. His awake-time Mama had warm brown skin and soft white hair and blue-sky eyes and the gentlest hands ever, and when he went to sleep his other Mama beamed at him and crinkled up her nose just like he did, her green eyes matching his own.

Title: Legacy
Characters/Pairings: Mentioned Aeris and Hojo
Team: AVALANCHE
Rating: Gen
Word Count: 100
Series: Core Game

Edge's population was fairly small compared to Midgar's. Orphaned children were common, given the sheer number of people working for Shinra above-plate and the level of devastation the plate's collapse had wreaked.

Common amongst such children were a certain few traits - brown hair. Green eyes. An impish smile.

Hojo had harvested some of Aeris' cells, while she'd been held prisoner and before AVALANCHE had caught up. He'd had just long enough before his death to arrange for fertilisation, for them to be placed safely in artificial wombs as well as surrogate ones. Future experiments.

The children escaped Midgar. Hojo didn't.

Title: Not. Subtle.
Characters/Pairings: Sephiroth/Cloud, Zack
Rating: G
Team: Avalanche
Word Count: 100

Sephiroth sighed, then immediately regretted the impulse when Cloud tried to scrunch into the wall.

"I can break the lock," he began, then paused when Cloud twitched again.

"Um. I don't think that would help."

Sephiroth's brows furrowed in the dim light. "Surely the whole point of a prank is to derive amusement from the other party's predicament."

If anything, Cloud's blush grew hotter. "It. Wasn't really meant as a prank." At Sephiroth's incredulous look, he reluctantly continued, "More like a push. Zac's a horrible enabler."

Sephiroth's expression only changed when Cloud stood on tiptoe and shyly kissed his cheek.

Title: The Flower Ball
Characters/Pairings: Aeris
Team: Avalanche
Rating: C for tiny Cetra.
Word Count: 100

Aeris settled herself comfortably in the scant patch of grass, wiggling a little as she made sure her skirts were spread out neatly amongst the flowers. She clasped her hands, beamed at her guests, and set about making introductions.

"Miss Lily, this is Mister Violet. He's very shy, so you have to be nice to him. Mister Violet, this is Miss Lily. She's very bright but very pleased to meet you."

Small, careful hands dipped the flowers towards each other in a shallow bow. When Aeris held a grand tea party, her guests were always very polite to each other.
