Title: Planning Stage
Characters/Pairings: Reeve/Rufus
Team: Turks
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Series: post Dirge of Cerberus

Reeve sat in a chair, with Cait on his lap. Rufus mirrored him, but with a live dark-nation cub, its little tentacles wrapping and unwrapping around his fingers as he stroked its fur.

Cait projected the news of the week from its eyes, onto a handy white wall, and the two men watched and listened to the feed.

"The problem I'm seeing here," Rufus noted, "Is that nobody actually knows the full extent of Hojo's experiments. No record exists, no memory. Just some very angry results."

"For now we'll just use Cait's memory banks," said Reeve, and Cait purred approval.

SOLDIER has a knack for hiring and firing - sometimes by firing squad. They win the trophy this week with 60 points. The Turks also know when to cut someone loose with 10 points. Avalanche is so in need of members, they can't afford to lose anyone.

The prompt this week is #13 - Remember

Think about all the things you have to remember in a day - the to-do lists, the grocery store runs...

Sometimes music can make us remember fond things from our pasts. We remember people, places, and things fondly.

Whether Cid is having fond remembrances of his bachelor life; Reno has to remember something and can't; Cloud remembers to call Tifa at the last minute; Rufus hates remembering anything having to do with his father - whatever you chose to remember, you must write it in 100 words.

Title: Drown
Characters: Aeris and ?
Team: SOLDIER
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: No, I don't know who that is at the end.

When she first died, there was no time to react to her own death. There was only the flood.

They had been trying to talk to her for so long, since the Calamity's son first started to embrace his heritage.

With the barricade of mortal flesh and human blood left behind, she was swamped. Their memories, remembrances, things she couldn't understand, washed over her, drowning her sense of self.

It was one of her own memories that saved her.

Protective arms and a warm smile.

Sheltered from the storm of memories, Aeris took a breath.

Now, she could call Holy.

Title: Goddess
Characters: Minerva
Team: SOLDIER
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: *cackles*

Before this world, there was a war between the gods. One so great that almost all were killed.

She remembered that war, so long in the past that stars had been born and died since then. She was young, spared only because she was a child.

But she does remember.

She remembered that those who had human warriors fared the best. Remembered, and prepared.

She watched as one of her chosen collected his student. One who had defeated her avatar. Rare, that level.

Eventually, the blond he fell protecting would come as well.

Minerva smiled.

Only the best for her.

Title: Whole Cloth
Characters: Mentions of Cloud, Jenova, Sephiroth, Zack, Tifa
Rating: PG
Team: SOLDIER
Word Count: 100

Whole Cloth

What are memories?

For the Puppet, they are what She creates. The Son is stirring, and They both needed a creature of their own out there.

He was blank, though. Empty. They needed to find connections for him outside the ones the Failed Child had placed.

Then the Puppet ran into the girl. Human. So frail. So needy. She wanted to find a connection, and so They made one for her with Their Puppet.

With that connection came memories. Real for her, false for Puppet. Mixed with the Failed Child’s memories, it caused a flawed whole.

It would do.
