The Lifestream engulfed him, filled his lungs; a green-glowing liquid miasma laced with his own life’s blood. But as disconnected, as strangely euphoric as he felt, Sephiroth noticed it not at all as he fell down, down --
His mind’s eye was filled with memories.
Instant after instant, time after time, a chain of moments from a life he knew, he knew now was nothing but lies. Image after image, still as an insect pinned to a page.
I need none of it.
And one by one they burned to ash, just as Nibelheim was burning --
