It was a new beginning all around for Avalanche. They took the trophy for the first time in a long while with 20 points. The Turks and SOLDIER seem to be stuck in the same old rut.

This week's prompt is: 151 - Chromatic

Your mission this week is to write a drabble regarding one or more colors, or even its absence.

It could be a plot detail: Cid's cup of green tea, a drop of Cloud's blood, the red ribbons of remembrance. Or it can become the background: the bright flowers of the church, the dirty streets of Midgar, the neon signs on the plate, the mako haze. Color could be a metaphor: green for envy, red for love, grey for an uneventful day. You could even delve into color symbolism.

But there are always fashion color disasters, stains, dyed hair... So many colorful things.

So add a little color to your drabbles, but in only 100 words.

Pinked

She first wants to laugh when she sees that the king wears pink as well, underneath the armor. Really, a big strong fighter like him, the crux of the most powerful summon, and he's got a girly side!

Then, as if noticing her amusement, his spirit turns to hers. She can see his image of himself more clearly: the color is splotchy. His memory of himself is stained with--

She turns her attention inward for a second, searching herself. Her pink dress is uniform, but he seems to know what it's hiding anyway, nodding acknowledgment.

Pink is the lighter red.
