He keeps her picture on him.

He suspects she snuck it into his belongings when she hugged him before AVALANCHE went their separate ways. Instead of throwing it away he found himself tucking it into the small bag of provisions he carried with him.

Occasionally, when he admitted he was becoming lonely, he’d take it and stare at the eternally smiling face, trace the words don’t forget scrawled across the back and wonder if Yuffie truly missed him, or if the picture and it’s message were just whim.

Some days, he was tempted to go to Wutai and find out.
