Title: Glow
Characters: Jessie, Cloud
Team: SOLDIER
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
The room was quiet when Jessie peeked in. Wedge had gone home, but she knew Biggs would fall sleep in front of the television they had down there if she let him. Then he would bitch all about a sore neck the next day.
And, maybe, she wanted to look in at the guy Tifa had made Barret hire.
As she crept into the room, she moved first towards Biggs, then paused, head turning slowly towards Cloud.
Blue eyes, the bright glow clearly visible from the shadows that covered the couch, looked back at her.
She left.
Let Biggs whine.
Title: Hunt
Characters: WEAPON
Team: SOLDIER
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
It only knew that it was late due to the lack of the plague moving about.
The planet moaned and wept in its mind, a song of despair that have been with it since before it woke.
There was no real time, only asleep and awake. Awake was the time of moving, of defending, and so it soared through the air, seeking.
Below, the plague was silent. Dependents of the Chosen, they have grown deaf. It knows it might be called to cleanse them away.
Sinking down, into the water, it hunted. It needed to kill what hurt the Planet.
Title: Meetings
Characters: Reno, Tseng
Team: SOLDIER
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
Rolling his eyes, Reno settled back in his seat. Glancing at the clock, he muttered a curse. Across from him, Tseng’s face echoed the sentiment.
Unfortunately, this was the only time the pair had to talk and plan. Very few realized that Reno was the second in command of the Turks. That meant a -lot- of meeting with Tseng when they could both spare a moment.
Elena and Rude had the morning and afternoon shift of playing bodyguard, so that let both the others catch a few more hours of sleep.
Shin-Ra, even in exile, equaled a lot of work.
Title: Alone
Characters: Genesis
Team: SOLDIER
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
Genesis tossed and turned.
This was the first time in a long time when he was really alone.
Before, he could always call Angeal, no matter the hour. Oh, he would get snarled at, but Angeal would never hang up on him.
But now...he had done something wrong.
He was sure that he had broken Angeal’s heart, maybe even his honor.
So here he was, in the middle of the night, and he had nobody to reach out to. And it was his own damn fault.
It really was a long, lonely hour, sitting in the dark alone.
Title: Nighttime
Characters: Nanaki
Team: SOLDIER
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
The labs were never really quiet, and he watched with his lone eye at the people who moved around, even now.
Nanaki, called Red XIII by the scientists, was as silent as ever, pretending to be the unthinking monster they all assumed him to be.
When he escaped, this might be the best time. Humans were creatures of light, of daytime. Right now, they were sluggish, doing what they had to.
That was something he could use.
He was just fine.
And they thought he was just an animal.
He'd prove them wrong soon enough, and then he'd be out.
