So. I haven't really achieved my goals for this comm in the past year, so I'm going to take some time off and re-think. So, for the present, please consider this comm on semi-permanent free-for-all mode. kalloway was asking if there existed a collection for this comm on AO3. To my knowledge, there is not, so she suggested I set up a poll to gauge interest in such a thing. Only problem - only paid accounts can set up polls, and I'm broke. XD

Hey everyone,

By now you've read that

yohjideranged is stepping down from the 100 communities they created due to schedule conflicts - I'm sure some of you already know how all-consuming grad school can be. I'm sad to see them go, but I wish them luck and health and energy and all that good stuff. You'll always be welcome here whenever you get a free moment to stop by.

I never got a chance to introduce myself when I first signed on as co-mod, so let me do that briefly. Hi! :D I'm Moogle, and I freaking love Final Fantasy VII. I've been involved in the

ffvii_100 community since its InsaneJournal days. I've traded comments with some of you already, and I look forward to getting to know more of you.

Going forward, I plan to keep on as usual within the comm while hopefully exploring ways to entice more fans to join in. I have prompts planned through the end of the year thanks to

yohjideranged's hard work, and after that I hope to mix in some new prompts in with the older ones. Of course if you have any ideas I'd love to hear them - there's a sticky post at the top of the community for the purpose, or PM me if you'd rather.

Thanks for being such a great community, everyone. Let's write the hell out of some prompts. :D

I am interrupting the middle this regular broadcast to make an announcement regarding community modship.

I started this community in what seems like ages ago back on InsaneJournal. From there, I moved it here and kept it rolling. But now, it is time for me to move on and pass the torch to someone who might be able to do better for the community than me.

You see, I have way too much on my plate at this time. I have just moved to Hawaii to attend graduate school. It is difficult because I am away from my wife, the courses are time intensive and work intensive, and I am adjusting to a new environment. Eight weeks in and I am swamped.

This was not really an unforeseen conflict. Before I left home, I was already experiencing stress in my life and so I took on a co-mod.

raisedbymoogles is an amazing individual that really cares about the fandom this community represents. I have no problems leaving you in their capable care.

So, from today on,

raisedbymoogles will be the sole mod of the community, until and unless they decide to take on a co-mod.

Thank you, everyone, for being such a wonderful group of creative fans. Thanks for giving my little community your time and your fantastic words. You are amazing and I wish you all the best! If any of you want to keep in touch, please feel free you add me to your reading list.

I want to apologize first and foremost to all of you.

I haven't posted a prompt in quite a while and there are several reasons why. Many of these reasons center around my health and my spouse's job situation. Lately, it has been because of medicine withdrawal that has caused all too frequent (and almost daily) migraines and severe vision problems. I am having real trouble seeing the computer screen without enlarging the page quite a bit and sometimes I don't even get on the computer because trying to focus a blurring vision gives me further migraines. I am told that my vision should clear up, but it could take up to 90 days.

I am really sorry that the community had to sit silent because of the problems I was dealing with.

That said, I am taking on a co-mod (

raisedbymoogles ) and, together, we are in the process of reworking the community so that

raisedbymoogles can help with the prompts, tagging, and such. This won't effect the basic workings of the community, but it will help it all run smoother so that everyone can continue to enjoy the prompts and all that good 100-word fic.

I will get a prompt up for this week, but there will be no tally of points from the past prompt. Hopefully, this will get the community moving forward again.

I apologize for the issues. Thank you all so much for your patience and for sticking around.

Looks like there is a fair bit of interest in rebooting this community. To all who commented, thank you for your thoughts on the matter.

So, here is what is planned for the community:

I will be creating a prompt suggestion box post this weekend for any future prompt suggestions. I will make that post sticky so that it will be easy to find. In the mean time, I will be recycling old prompts to kickstart the community while, at the same time, taking some pressure off myself to come up with new prompts until I amass a nice collection to carry the community forward in the future.

Prompts will be posted every Monday before 4 PM EST. I cannot promise an exact time, but it will happen sometime before then. You will then have a week to write exactly 100 words for the prompt. Results will be tallied and posted on Monday along with a next prompt.

Please re-familiarize yourselves with the community rules and posting instructions listed in the profile.

I look forward to reading all your fic! See you on Monday!
