Barret and Vincent glanced up when Cid entered, so identical in their dull confusion that Cid couldn't hold back a snort. "I don't drink," he said by way of explanation. "Drunk engineering ain't a pretty sight."
The other two grunted and went back to their - sober, manly brooding, Cid supposed, which was just fine after the noisy party outside. "Haven't touched a drop since Marlene," Barret said.
"Alcohol doesn't affect me," Vincent muttered. The other two grunted. Manly silence resumed.
That ended when Shera entered. "Parents drank," she shrugged when Cid made a 'why?' gesture at her. "Anyone for cards?"
