Reno cups his hand over the tip of his smoke, a cold breeze making it near impossible to light the damn thing. Once the tip smolders, he inhales, blue-grey smoke billowing out his nose.

“Looks like it’s going to snow.” Rufus stands next to him on the balcony, a large robe wrapped around his body.

 

“Come back to bed?”

“Soon, Ruf’.”

“Don’t catch a cold.” Rufus heads back inside, leaving Reno alone.

His finished smoke falls over the railing, floating down towards the plate. Snow begins to fall, as he enters the warmth of his apartment.
