PROMPT #51 - NORTHERN CONTINENT

This week's prompt is #51 - Northern Continent.
The Northern Continent is a land of many dangers: some of the strongest monsters in the game, a forest that toys with travelers, a glacier that can freeze you solid, snowmen that pop up and smack snowboarders in the face... the list goes on.
(Can you tell I sucked at that snowboard minigame? ;) )
This week, zip up your parkas and explore all things dark and frostbitten. What's life like in Icicle Inn, and do they still remember a certain Cetra and her scientist husband? Why are the chocobos there so Wonderful? What secrets lie in wait on Gaea's Cliff? Where are the folks at Bone Village getting their funding... and what are they digging for? And don't forget the Crater, looming above it all... Remember, you can drabble through the eyes of canon characters or through someone entirely new. OCs welcome!
