This week's prompt is #78 - History
The past isn't dead. It's not even past. - William Faulkner, on one of his two being-right moments per day
Whether people acknowledge it or not, history has a massive impact on the present day - perhaps even more so when it's unacknowledged and un-dealt-with. This week, dive into the history of FFVII - of its nations, its ecology, or even the smaller histories of individuals - and show us how these events shaped the story we see.
Is Cloud's family a recent immigrant to Nibelheim? How did Nanaki's people and Bugenhagen's form an alliance so close they became one society? How was Midgar built? Who were Ifalna's grandparents - did they realize they were among the last Cetra? Is the war mentioned in canon the first time Wutai has come into conflict with other continents? And will all of this be on Marlene's test?
History is written by the winners, but these drabbles will be written with 100 words!
