“Here’s soup,” Cloud said brightly. Tifa stared at his alien expression. He brought the whole pot, ladle and bowl.
“Thanks-” he placed it precariously on her dresser. “-Cloud…”
Cloud poured and handed the bowl toward her. She gaped; it was lukewarm.
“Oh! Sorry, I should have tasted it first,” said Cloud, hastily.
“Wait…” began Tifa, but it was too late.
She saw the chicken was dangerously red.
