The glass pane was cold underneath his hand. Condensation framed his long and slender fingers. Bright blue eyes looked up at the dark, star speckled sky through the wall-wide window. He held his breath.

 

Two arms wrapped around his shoulders from behind and Reno pressed a gentle kiss against the side of his head. “Something's eating you.”

 

“Dreams.” Rufus said, softly. “Recurring dreams of massive dragons and a red ball of fire in the sky.”

 

Reno loudly laughed. “What in the world? How does that worry you? There's no way such a thing could become real.”
