Reno sighed in happy relief as Rude set, not flowers, but a case of Reno's favorite beer down at the bedside. "Thanks man, you're a lifesaver," Reno breathed as Rude popped one open, added a straw, and set it at Reno's mouth. He eyed Rude's briefcase. "Overtime again?"
Rude commandeered an unused small table, and unloaded files. "Yours," he said, and as Reno looked ready to rebel, he added, "I'm taking dictation. All you have to do is talk."
Hence the beer - but dictating a report was much easier for Reno than writing one ever was. Reno grinned. "Thanks."
