"Tifa and I have an understanding," Cloud said, "the kind that you can only have after knowing each other for some time. She knows how I feel."
"How?" The girl, Aerith, was almost childlike in her questioning, with her voice strangely sweet and her eyes so wide.
Cloud refused to stare. "What do you mean?"
"How does she know?"
Cloud shrugged. "She knows. It doesn't matter how." He noticed Aerith had stopped on the path. "What's wrong?"
Aerith took a breath and let her voice ring. "How does she knoooooooow you love her?"
Cloud groaned. "Oh god, you're singing now?"
